This policy explains how I&R Associates Ltd., operating as Amplify Design (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles personal information. We are an electrical engineering consulting firm registered in Alberta, Canada, providing building electrical engineering services.
We collect only what we need to respond to enquiries and deliver engineering services:
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.
We operate an internal automation tool that connects to the Google Ads API. It is used exclusively to manage our own Google Ads account. Specifically, it reads campaign, keyword, cost and conversion data for our account, produces internal performance reports, applies spending limits we have approved, pauses campaigns or keywords that are not converting, and adds negative keywords we have reviewed.
This site uses the Meta pixel, a small piece of code that reports page views and enquiry submissions to Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. so that we can measure how our advertising performs and reach people with similar interests. The pixel receives technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed on this site, and a cookie identifier. It does not receive your name, email address, telephone number, or any project details you send us. You can control this through your Facebook ad preferences, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
We use a small number of third-party providers to run our business. They may process information on our behalf and are only permitted to use it for that purpose:
Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada. Where that is the case, the information may be subject to the laws of the country in which it is held.
This site uses only the cookies necessary for the site to function and, where applicable, to measure advertising performance in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept only as long as reasonably needed, and then deleted. Project records, including drawings, calculations and correspondence, are retained for the period required by our professional obligations and applicable Alberta legislation, and longer where a record may be needed to support a sealed engineering document.
We use access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), reputable hosting and account-level security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to admin@amplifydesign.ca and we will respond within the time required by law.
We handle personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here.
