This website is operated by I&R Associates Ltd., operating as Amplify Design, an electrical engineering consulting firm registered in Alberta, Canada. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The content on this site is general information about our services. It is not engineering advice, and it is not a substitute for a design prepared for your specific project. Nothing on this site creates an engineer–client relationship. Do not rely on anything published here for the design, construction, alteration or approval of any electrical installation.
We provide professional services only under a written proposal or agreement that sets out the scope, fee, schedule and terms for that project. Submitting an enquiry through this site does not create an engagement and does not oblige either party to proceed.
Our work is prepared to the Canadian Electrical Code, the National Building Code – Alberta Edition, applicable ULC and CSA standards, and the requirements of the authority having jurisdiction, as they apply at the time the work is performed. Code editions and municipal requirements change. Any code reference appearing on this site is general and may not reflect the edition currently in force for your project.
Only a document bearing the seal and signature of a Professional Engineer registered with APEGA, issued to a named client for a named project, constitutes our professional work product. Material downloaded from or described on this website is not a sealed document and must not be represented or submitted as one.
We take care with what we publish, but we do not warrant that the site is complete, current or error-free. We may change or remove content at any time without notice.
The text, layout, graphics and other material on this site are owned by I&R Associates Ltd. or used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own reference. You may not reproduce, republish or use our material commercially, or present it as your own, without our written permission. Drawings and calculations prepared for a project remain subject to the terms of the agreement for that project.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I&R Associates Ltd. is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, this website, including indirect, incidental or consequential loss. This section does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under Alberta law, and it does not affect the terms of any signed project agreement, which govern our professional services.
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
